The First Woman Who Wrote ‘La la Land’

The film, directed by Emma Stone, is set in a lush tropical paradise on the eve of a climate change-fueled flood.

Stone stars as the protagonist, who has spent her life in a houseboat on a tropical island, before a flood threatens her.

She uses a “vibrant” combination of art and science to build a new life.

“La la land” is a song about the journey of life, as Stone sang in the film.

“I’m going to be the first woman to write a song,” Stone told THR in May.

“It’s going to open up new worlds.”
